“To Hell and Back” — This is the name of a 1955 Audie Murphy movie based on his experience as a soldier in WWII. “War is hell” is a quote attributed to General Sherman during the Civil War. The actual quote was, “There is many a boy here today who looks on war as all glory, but boys, it is all hell.”
Many believe hell is here and now and some do not believe in hell at all. I wish it were so but Jesus teaches the reality of its existence. Is there truly a place that even God’s love cannot reach?
