Sunday’s a Comin’

Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭25‬ ‭NIV‬‬
As you know we began 2025 with a call to “Drop The Weight” that robs us from living the abundant life God desires for us. Now the hard part — how to keep that weight off! The church’s answer is, Lent. Throughout the next 40 days we will journey with Jesus toward His passion and resurrection. However, we need to be in good shape and spiritually fit for this challenging adventure. Fear not, the Holy Spirit is an excellent trainer. Please join us for this holy work out.
….And we begin with Worship
We know about the baby Jesus, the teacher Jesus, the crucified Jesus and the risen Jesus, but who exactly is the transfigured Jesus? Surrounded by Moses and Elijah, Jesus is high and lifted up for the disciples and us to know what it really means to worship Him.
On the Mount of Transfiguration Jesus was praying with Peter and James and John. And his face became different, and his clothing became white and gleaming. “And a voice came out of a cloud, saying, ‘This is my beloved Son. Hear him!’ (Luke 9:35) Worship enables us to cut through all the world’s distractions and listen to Jesus amidst all the other voices. “Listen to him.”
Can anything like that ever happen in our worship service?
Come and see,Pastor Rob
