“But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.” Jeremiah 18:4 NIV
Have you ever felt like this pot Jeremiah is talking about – marred, misshaping, or even cracked? There may have been something in your life that caused you to feel “cracked,” imperfect or simply ashamed. In all honesty, probably most of us have felt this way at one time or another. Yet what we neglect to realize is that God created each one of us each unique and when we place ourselves in His hands amazing things can happen.
God invites Jeremiah to, “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message (v.2).” This was a place where beautiful works of clay were shaped, reshaped and created by the potter’s skilled and loving hands. Sunday we all invited to go down to the potter’s house (aka the church). How will God the potter “melt us, mold us, fill us, use us?”
Come and see,
Pastor Rob
