Don’t Just Go To Church, Be the Church.

We all have a “lens” through which we view the world. It is the window we look through to form our assumptions, judgments, and responses. It’s been said the eye is the window into the souls, so what would it mean if we saw the world, including our souls, through Jesus’s eyes. This Sunday we will explore Luke 4:14-21 to see how Jesus’s mission guided his vision and how his “lens” was compassion. As followers of Christ shouldn’t we be looking at people from His point of view, and if we see others through His “lens” will not his compassion be our guide as well?

Usually I end with “Come and see,” which is Phillip’s Invitation to Nathanael to meet Jesus (John 1:46), but considering this month’s theme let’s go with,

Come and be!
