Your Call

We’ve been looking at the call of several biblical champions of the faith. As we wrap up this series on answering God’s call there is one more call story I’d like to explore – Yours!

I know, we can excuse ourselves and say we are nobody special like a Moses or even a Peter, but let’s recap:

Noah was a drunk, Abraham and Sarah were too old, Issac was a daydreamer, Jacob was a liar, Joseph was abused, Moses was a murderer, Sampson was a womanizer, Rahab was a prostitute, Jonah ran from God, John the baptized ate bugs, Martha worries about everything, Mary was possessed, the Samaritan woman was divorced (more than once), Peter and the disciples betrayed Jesus, Paul was a religious fanatic, and Lazarus was, well, Lazarus was dead!

So, what’s your excuse?

In 1 Corinthians 1:22-31, Paul asks us to consider our call. So, let’s consider it this Sunday.

Come and see,
Pastor Rob
