Why Church? A Place for you

According to Jesus, God likes a good party. In Luke 15, every time something or someone is lost (i.e. sheep, pearl, son), and gets found a great celebration will follow. In this Sunday’s lesson from Matthew 22, Jesus compares the kingdom of heaven to a wedding feast. We’re talking about one epic party prepared by God Himself. Although the date has yet to be announced, the Good News is that we have been invited.

Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’‭‭ Matthew‬ ‭22:4‬ ‭NIV

So it seems to me that we in the church should be in the business of inviting people as well. Jesus invites us to come as you are, but be prepared, because Grace will not leave you that way.

Come and see,
Pastor Rob
