Children’s Coordinator

Three Oaks Fellowship United Methodist Church in Vinton, Virginia is a small but growing
community of faith seeking to answer God’s call to reach out to children and their families in our
neighborhood.

We are looking for a part-time Children’s Coordinator (approximately 10 hrs a week), to help us create a new Children’s Ministry.

Salary $20 per hour | Time Requirements Average 10 hours per week

Job Description
Develop and oversee a new children’s ministry program with duties including:

• A midweek program
• Begin new Sunday School class (ages 3 years up to 5th grade)
• Coordinate seasonal events such as VBS, Trunk-or-Treat, Back to School bash, and involve children in worship.
• Recruit and equip volunteer staff
  
  Reports to Staff Pastor Parish Relations Committee and the pastor.
  
• Qualifications:
  We are looking for a follower of Christ who has a passion for faith development of all ages both as a leader and an example. We seek a person who has a solid understanding of the Christian faith , the traditions of the United Methodist Church, or is willing to learn. We seek a person who is creative with ideas to generate new ministries to share God’s unfailing love.
